No, I don't get tired of painting water. I just paint it using different palettes and different types of strokes. I especially enjoy painting seawater, with its beautiful greens. This painting was done with Ultramarine, Arylide Yellow, Burnt Umber, and Titanium White.
About Christopher Reid
Christopher Reid is an international artist painting in pastel, watercolor, and acrylic. He paints everything from portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and pets in his contemporary realist style. His art has won numerous international awards. He travels all over the world painting en plein air as often as possible, exhibiting, and sharing his passion for art with others through teaching workshops. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Chris studied art at the Savannah College of Art & Design(Savannah, GA). Christopher, this is nice. Have you tried to show water spray by loading up an old toothbrush with white paint that has been watered down some? It makes terrific foam and water spray.

Thank you David :) I have done splatter effects in watercolor. I haven't used it in acrylic. I am working on a large acrylic right now and might try it. :)
