Description
A soutpan (salt pan) near where I live in South Africa is drying up due to human encroachment. Two species of wild flamingos and many other bird species live there. Early in the morning the sunlight can hit the birds before it begins to skip across the water and the far shore is in full shadow from the mountains. It is a magical sight that I wish we could protect.
