Artist's Description
Each spring something magical happens on the west coast of South Africa. Wildflowers cover the landscape as far as the eye can see and blanket it in vibrant colors. This painting was done en plein air from Langebaan looking toward Postberg. The weather was perfect and just enough flowers were visible as to not be overwhelming.
About Christopher Reid
Christopher Reid is an international artist painting in pastel, watercolor, and acrylic. He paints everything from portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and pets in his contemporary realist style. His art has won numerous international awards. He travels all over the world painting en plein air as often as possible, exhibiting, and sharing his passion for art with others through teaching workshops. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Chris studied art at the Savannah College of Art & Design(Savannah, GA).
