The mornings in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley, South Africa can be quite spectacular, with the waves cascading over the mountains and the vineyards catching brief patches of sunlight between the clouds. I painted this en plein air from Creation Winery looking south toward Ataraxia Vineyards.
About Christopher Reid
Christopher Reid is an international artist painting in pastel, watercolor, and acrylic. He paints everything from portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and pets in his contemporary realist style. His art has won numerous international awards. He travels all over the world painting en plein air as often as possible, exhibiting, and sharing his passion for art with others through teaching workshops. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Chris studied art at the Savannah College of Art & Design(Savannah, GA).
