Painting - Acrylic On Panel
Description
I wonder how many people get the paraphrased poetic reference? I couldn't resist painting 2 of my favorite things - pale blue-violet and water. This is my 30th painting of 2016! I am really benefiting from this much painting. Painting just makes me feel good and at the end of the day I have added something to the world.
Someone recently sent me a link to Youtube with a demo on painting water droplets in acrylic to see what I thought. While I understand that such a generic approach is great for some illustrations, I never liked the idea of the How-To-Draw-A....method. If I were to write such a book, it would only have one line of text, "Observe life closely and then paint it!!" This painting shows how there are so many different types of droplets and not one of them looks like the generic style. Nature is the master artist and we try to capture as much of her beauty as we can.

My personal CONGRATULATIONS, Christopher on your placement of this EXQUISITE PAINTING which is made all the more exquisite thru your titled nod to Khalil Gibran, your love of lavender and water, and your description of DEEPly seeing Aesthetic and its invitation to your Muse of Nature’s Beauty to “co-create” the ESSENCE of the beloved object of your deep gaze into BEing rather than trifle with it thru mere technique. It is somewhat like the difference between composing a symphonic ecstasy ...Or...a commercial T.V. Jingle!...and THAT is why your entire portfolio is nothing short of MASTERFUL!..Bravo! Thank you for sharing your glimpses of Beauty with us ALL! THAT is the WIN!
