Description
I wanted to do a high key painting combining the sunlight coming in the window of my studio and a cup of rooibos tea. I kept the tablecloth loosely painted but detailed the focal area around the cup. I set the still life up so that the spoon joined the shadows to create a triangular composition.

Nice job, Christopher. Congratulations on your well-deserved award. I like the detail on the cup, and the lipstick is a sweet touch.
