I painted this pastel en plein air from the Stellenbosch District Riding Club looking toward the southwest. I liked the way the hazy atmosphere muted the greens and the patchwork of vineyards, fields, and wild vegetation weaved together.

Christopher Reid is an international artist painting in pastel, watercolor, and acrylic. He paints everything from portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and pets in his contemporary realist style.
