When preparing to paint on the morning of the Cary Plein Air paint out I jogged down the street looking for interesting subjects. I noticed this pink house, but the lighting was all wrong. When I came back later in the afternoon the light was much better and I wanted to capture the unique angles and colors of Sheila's house.

Christopher Reid is an international artist painting in pastel, watercolor, and acrylic. He paints everything from portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and pets in his contemporary realist style. His art has won numerous international awards. He travels all over the world painting en plein air as often as possible, exhibiting, and sharing his passion for art with others through teaching workshops. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Chris studied art at the Savannah College of Art & Design(Savannah, GA).
