Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This batter hit the ball deep and was on the way to first base while watching to see if it was a homerun. I took the reference photo crouched by the baseline waiting for a moment like this. I loved the motion in his shirt and the way it billowed out from his form. With the warm dirt and the cool sky there was lots of interesting bounce light to paint.
