Description
My painting “Freedom” is about creative freedom. The hands are breaking through a paper surface. Any artist can tell you that there is a certain freedom felt when you first make a mark on a blank surface. That mark may be the most important line or stroke you make. It breaks a mental barrier. Art is a form of communication and I am trying to get the image in my head onto the surface so I can share it with the viewer. It is as if the image is in the paper and I am using my brush to liberate it.
